Kyle Leigh Games

Born and raised in Sherwood Park, I'm a University of Alberta graduate with two degrees and a full-time mobile app developer that creates fun and compelling strategy and action games for your phone.

In business, that would be the standard way of introducing myself and what I do. However, a more accurate way of introducing myself is to tell you that I am an avid strategy game fan who knows ways to improve the mobile gaming experience.

Currently, most mobile strategy games are either board games or computer games that were turned into mobile versions of themselves. While the former leaves a simpler game without using the benefit of the phone to remember rules or speed up gameplay, the latter tends to take up a lot of memory and have slower gameplay.

In my opinion, mobile games need to fit into the breaks of people’s fast-paced lifestyles, and so you’ll notice that my games take just the right amount of playtime to entertain you on your morning bus commute or to enjoy during a little break from work.

I am incredibly passionate about game design and AI. While I am actively involved with every step of the mobile game-creating process, from start to finish, I also love collaborating with other developers to bring you the absolute best graphics, sound, and UI.

THE JOURNEY

It all started about five years ago when my friend showed me his app company and the game he was working on at the time. I was captivated and decided that I wanted to create my own games. Fortunately, he pointed me in the right direction. I spent every minute of my spare time learning how to use the software needed to turn the games I envisioned into actual mobile games available for download. A few years later, inspired by my passions and skills, my hobbies, the places I've been, and the friends that helped me get here, I am now a full-time mobile game app developer with my own company, Kyle Leigh Games.
